How to use NHL game data
This section separates recorded information from a prediction. Line combinations are calculated from completed-game shift overlap, starting-goalie status is labelled only as far as the official feed supports it, and schedules show the NHL’s published dates and local start times. Each dataset answers a different question, so a last-game record should not be read as a guaranteed lineup for tonight.
Start with the schedule to find the relevant matchup. Then use the goalie and line pages to see the latest verified context. Injuries, practice reports and operator rules can change closer to puck drop, so confirm those separately when a decision depends on them.

What the data does and does not show
The pages use official NHL data where it is available and keep the source date visible. A schedule can change, a completed game does not forecast the next one, and an absent confirmation is not turned into a projected starter. This is intended as a factual reference point for following NHL coverage, not as a betting recommendation.
